Our Story
CustomIDX Development was formed through a partnership of real estate innovators and technology professionals with the common goal of making highly customizable MLS/IDX functionality available for a truly affordable price.
The founders of CustomIDX Development searched the web high-and-low for a decent MLS/IDX solution that could fit into their customer websites and be customized to look and function exactly the way they wanted. A solution like this simply didn't exist. The only option at the time was to either use a cookie-cutter template website that looked just like everyone else's website, or hire expensive programmers to build what they needed from scratch. Realizing this could easily cost tens of thousands of dollars, they focused on creating a better service that could power any design.
An Innovative Solution
We wanted to create a platform that could power the ideas of all web designers and give them tools to create infinitely customizable real estate features without programming everything from scratch and without having to manage data and photos (a very tedious process). The end result was IDX Data Tools – a web service based API centered around powering an infinitely customizable framework of methods for requesting and displaying MLS/IDX data on any website, blog, or full featured application.
While developing IDX Data Tools, CustomIDX Development quickly found ways to adapt our new products and services to popular social networking technologies such as blogging, Twitter, Facebook, and e-mail marketing. The marriage of these technologies is the future of online real estate marketing.
